Description
Venice is certainly one of the most glamorous cities of the world. Steeped in history, atmosphere and colorful character, it is truly the stuff of dreams. Palatial palazzo's flank either side of the Grand Canal, the emerald green water glistening jewel like as it winds it's way through this mystical maze. Gondolas glide along gracefully, seeming to skim the surface of the water. Fine details are everywhere in Venice, from the elaborate, vintage, red tinted street lamps, to the ornate facades of ancient buildings. It's easy to get lost in the labyrinth of this city on the water, but it's a place you don't mind going off the beaten track in, never knowing what is around the next corner is part of it's allure. I added a little texture to Colorful Corner of the Grand Canal Venice Italy to compliment the nostalgic feel of the scene.

Breathtaking capture and digital touch, Carol! Love your composition, awesome architecture, gorgeous emerald water, reflections, and that gorgeous sky! Such a dream come true to even look at and your description makes me want to float on one of those gondolas and go around the next corner of the awesome city on the water! Exceptional! LF

lovely dazzling contrast almost surreal as structure appears to be floating on the water.
