Description
Built between 1819-1822, the Pont de Pierre was the first bridge to cross the Garonne River and connect the right and left banks of the city. One of the main landmarks of Bordeaux, this beautiful historic stone bridge, commissioned by Napoleon himself, has no less than 17 arches, which also happens to be the number of letters in the name Napoleon Bonaparte! I blended textures with my original photograph of this beautiful bridge, seen here at dusk, to compliment this charming French old world scene.
