Description
On the 27th of January, 1756, on the third floor of a modest dwellng, at No. 9 Getreidegasse, Salzburg, Austria, the man who would become one of the greatest and most loved composers of all time, came into the world, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This historic birthplace is among the top visited landmarks of the Austrian city. Nestled in the heart of the old town, it is one of many places associated with Salzburg's genius son. The building itself has a history dating all the way back to the 12th century and had a variety of different uses before eventually becoming a museum documenting Mozart's early years. It is a great place to visit and a wonderful peek into life in 18th Century Europe. I blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white to compliment the vintage feel of this old world European street scene.
