One of the best things about Lisbon's old town is the ancient trams trundling up and down the many hills and narrow winding streets, often packed to capacity and ringing their little bells to warn pedestrians of their approach. No trip to the Portuguese capital is complete without a trip on a Lisbon Tram. Pictured here is the Ascensor do Lavra which has been operational since 1884, still climbing that hill!
