Description
Situated in the Haute-Savoie region of South Eastern France, the Alpine town of Annecy has a history going all the way back to Roman times. In a picturesque location, between mountains and lake, this wonderful area just oozes old world charm. A leisurely stroll along the waterfront is the perfect way to spend an afternoon, stopping to admire the pastel coloured facades, complete with red tile roofs and the towering French Alps as a backdrop. Pictured here is Palais de L'Ile, a landmark monument with a history dating back to the 12th century. Once used as a courthouse, prison and adminitstrative office, it is now a museum. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph to compliment this idyllic old world French canal scene.
