Description
One of the things I enjoy doing most when in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, is heading to the banks of the Tagus River to watch the sunset. I love to hear the sound of the lapping waves as they gently brush the water's edge and chatter of people enjoying a sail on the river as the boats pass by. No two sunsets are ever the same, the sky ever changing as clouds roll in or fade away, glowing red, orange, yellow or even purple as the sun lowers in the sky. Pictured here is one of the two historic Cais das Colunas pillars which stand side by side and mark the gateway to the city of Lisbon. I hand blended a little texture with my original photograph in black and white.
