Description
Bruges (or Brugge), capital of West Flanders and situated in North West Belgium is a city fit for a storybook. The medieval old town is filled with cobblestone lanes, horse drawn carriages, historic buildings and quaint canals which have contributed to it's nickname of 'Little Venice of The North'. Picture perfect postcard vistas are everywhere and there are no shortage of places to stop, admire the view and feel like you have gone back in time and stepped into a real life fairytale. I was delighted to spot this little boat seeking shade under the bridge of blue framed abodes. I added texture to Boat Under A Little Bridge in Bruges to complete the vintage feel.

I'm very interested in this beautiful photo Carol as my son and new daughter in law had their honeymoon in Bruges recently and sent me lots of photos. I was enchanted by it as have never visited and do not remember this bridge among their pictures. Of course, every detail here is perfect from the positioning of the boat to the colored windows seen through the veil of leaning branches and warm brick building beyond. Everything near and far is always in perfect focus in your pictures unless of course you intentionally blur a part of it. So very beautifully done. L/F
